Okay so we went from happily together to relocating out of state. 2010 was a bad year, both his parents ill and in Aug my own mom dx with stage 4 cancer. Ok past the bad stuff, we are getting married in 4 months. I booked de Seversky Center today and cried. With my budget I planned the back room of a restaurant and I'm going to have the dream somewhat modified. We're doing sit down lunch, dancing, cocktail hour, etc. I'm meeting with Thomas Paul tomorrow morning which will me my toughest decision since I'm a photo *****. I'll find a dress, no biggie. I need help with flowers or other decor for tables, ceremony. I plan to use a lot of candles but need something while being budget conscious. Any advice, suggestions welcome

im so sorry to hear all you've been through!!!! i was just at a wedding in aug where the florist almost did not show up so the hall put all votiveds on the table ... and it looked sooo pretty!! so much that im seriously thinking of putting lots of votives around the table as well! you can even get the set of 3 tall candle at bbb for 20 bucks and use a coupon to make it cheaper they look sooo pretty and who wouldnt want to take that home with them! wishing you lots and lots of luck.. everything will turn out great! its a special day for you and nothing can take that away from you!

Im so sorry to hear what you have been going thru but welcome and congrats on your wedding plans!!! I am usuing flowers by burt0n and they are very reasonable with pricing. What else do you need to do still?

I am on a tight budget too so I am using potted flowering plants as my centerpieces. I bought nice pots at lowes. My florist is getting the plants ( for about $10) that I picked out and repotting in the pots I bought. It is saving me a bunch of flowers and I like the idea that guests will be able to keep them. HTH.

they day of ur wedding should be a very happy day no matter if u're getting married in the Oheka Castle or under a bridge 'cause u're getting married to the love of ur life. So I'm happy u're organizing ur wedding with a positive attitude girly! I'm really happy for u and welcome to this board
