New Brides - Tips for future brides

So what tips and advice do you have to offer us leading up until THE day and during the day?? I know we all get the norm - 'relax and enjoy it and take it all in'. But is there anything you wished you had done differently to prepare (get tasks done sooner, etc). ??

Bride 2 B's post got me thinking because she so stressed out now with still 2 months left before the wedding like myself. I only imagine what it would be like 1 week before or 2 days before. I want to be able to relax 2 days before the wedding and just take it all in.Any advice or tips would so much appreciated.

Definitely try to get things done early. The week before i dropped off everything at the RH. That last week wasn't too stressful to me.

Heres one thing i can think of...have someone make an announcement before the ceremony to remind everyone to turn off their cell phones! We had quite a few go off!

Did you keep turning around like a bridezilla?? It's would be annoying while I'm telling him till death and a hip hop or merenga ringer goes off. Thanks for that.

definitely get most things done sooner and leave the last week or 2 weeks before to relax a bit. I was so stressed and out of it the last week and drove myself crazy. The month of april i didnt do much, i wasn't going to run around getting things with a broken foot so that really screwed me over big time. Everything that was on my to do list since march i did it all the last 2 weeks, but there wasnt anything i could've done about that.

Don't stress over small things, the day of none of that matters.

I actually started laughing at one point, cuz one phone went off for a while! Turns out it was the photographer and he was on the other side of the room and had to run to get it! I know it wasn't intentional but come on!

OMG same thing happened to me and it was pissing me off. I kept telling Dh that im about to turn around and tell them to shut it off. Somebodies phone kept going off and they wouldnt turn it off, it was very distracting. It happened a few times

See but your weren't expecting to have a broken foot so you had everything planned out and then look what happened. I'm sure if you weren't injured things would have been differently. Thanks for sharing this because like you said, you wait for last minute and something might hapen to prevent you from moving foward.

UGH! First it was our photographer's phone, then DH's sister's went off! I know there was at least one more, but not sure who! I'm picking up my video tomorrow and I can't wait to see my face during that!

You should have turned them around and tell them to shut it off but then everyone would have called you a bridezilla!!!

Enjoy every minute. Dont stress the little things. Do what it is that you have to . Make sure you and your FH get the day you have always dreamed of and not the day people pressure you into. during the ceremony look at FH as much as you can. take moments to just hold hands or smile at each other.
