New Construction on Elwood Road

i received an email this morning from a realtor in re: the new construction homes on elwood road in east northport.

list price - 975K
taxes - 15K
1 acre lots

please tell me, what sane people are going to buy these homes?

well it is on a court off of elwood, but yes right OFF of elwood. the land was formerly silberstein farm. no trees or landscaping surrounding the land.

they are going to look like every other cookie cutter new construction home that is being built on LI. IMO - nothing special and certainly not worth a million dollars.

YES, directly south of john glen HS on elwood.

Elwood New Construction

in addition the 975K price tag is the basic standard model. any upgrades (granite, nicer cabinets, crown molding, etc) is extra money.

not to mention, the price is for the land and house, no grass or landscaping.

I live over there and always LMAO b/c its such a ridiculous price to be on Elwood Road. I know one of them sold but the rest have not. I'm sure someone will come along and buy them.

LMAO! My DH and I thought it was a primer coat at first! We couln't believe anybody would actually choose to paint their home that color!


Elwood can be quite pricey. I recall when I was first looking, I stumbled on a couple of homes and they were over a million and that was over 3yrs ago.


I also think it's a shame that the farm will no longer be there. :( I'm tired of all these new homes. I wish they'd save some land.

i agree. no land is sacred anymore. the same builders also bought the farm land on little plains road and park ave. another builder just bought land in fort salonga.

I hate to hear of farms being replaced by house developments Even the East End North Fork has developments going up all over the place
