New Day New Question

How does one go about booking a DJ?
With flowers and halls you go in and look and see if you like it or not. WIth a DJ you cnat go to their events and just listen.... how do you know if you like them or not???

the DJ i met with (FM entertaiment) does a showcase for you... so they are able to show you how they work, how they would announce you, their different lights, etc.... and if you go to a showcase and book with them they give you some money off whatever add ons you want ( i think it was $100 if im not mistaken)

Maybe go to a wedding showcase, there was info in Sunday's Newsday in section B2 about getting engaged and what to do. I'm going to a showcase on Saturday in Medford at the Pine Hollow Inn. They are having different vendors there. This will be my first, so I guess I'll find out then. I'm prob going to use the same ones that my FH's brother used for his wedding. THey had funny games where one of the groomsmen ended up dancing blindfolded with the groom. LOL. If you want I can find out who they are, it should be easy cuz they went to highschool with my FH.

try the showcases, you can get a good feel about them there. Also you see how they interact with potential customers...

if you cant make a showcase just go inf or appointment and they should give you a little 'show' so you can see what they can do

you can go see them at showcases, but i think its also about the vibe you get from them when u set up appts...we met ppl in their houses or in their offices. They showed us video of their work...but it came down to who we felt most comfortable with and who we thought would fit best with our guests.
