NEW DC area Brides thread!

When I was planning our wedding there were a bunch of DC, VA, and MD brides on here....lots of us are married now but noticed there are a lot of newer brides from this area so I thought I'd start this thread to help share ideas, etc.

The majority of my vendors were from NY but also used DC area vendors for many things/details if anyone needs suggestions, help, etc.

maybe we could have our own GTG one day too!!

Hi! I'm a MD bride. Another MD bride and I were talking about this a few weeks ago. We should meet with our FHs, and maybe go to a bar or pub in DC.

Also a MD bride....anygood...Patchogue Floral equivelant placed down here????

Never found one but that doesn't mean there isn't I used the DC knot board a lot for local resources, maybe try there? I did get my veil and tiara comb at patchogue floral though!!

Thanks...I tried Columbia Bridal (something like that) but there selection of tiaras was crappy. I guess I am just trying to find some stuff I can do down here....going home to visit gets so overwhelming sometimes with wedding stuff.

Yeah it does EVERY trip home last year involved wedding stuff...I had strick itineraries each time...people laughed at me but it's the only way I got things done.

Yeah, I went to NY last weekend to do a makeup trial and order my veil. I was supposed to have a hair trial, but it got snowed out! So I have to go back this weekend, but we'll also do tuxes while we're there. We basically pack in as much wedding stuff as possible during our visits.

I'm a VA bride. FH and I own a townhouse in Woodbridge. I'd love to get together in DC with everyone, but probably not until after our wedding (in 24 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
