- The man we met with (Dave) said that for a Fri or Sat evening wedding, the schedule is that the ceremony is at 8pm and then the ch/reception is from 8:30pm-1:30am. Is this time flexible at all or pretty much set? Could I move it up an hour or two? I just feel like a wedding until 1:30 is late and that many guests would leave before then!

So my FI called the BM Dave today to ask some questions about the time and he said they can definitely not move the time back for a Fri or Sat evening wedding! Grrr. And I really really want an evening, not day, wedding. But then he said that on Sunday the evening wedding is earlier- 5:30 ceremony, 6-11 ch/reception. Much better! Even though it's a Sunday I think I'll be much happier with this time slot! Just wanted to update you all!

Oo yea I am sure we have all gotten those beautiful Manila colored enveloped about our wonderful payments. Of course they will never forget to send those out!

I am reading about this time slot thing... Is anyone else getting married on a saturday? Ceremony 7, Cocktail 730-830 and Reception 830-1230. And has anyone verified this. I am getting nervous reading about these weddings until 130 am :-/

I just booked with them for a friday in 2011. They originally said that the CH would start at 8:15 and the wedding would be over at 1:15. I was really uncomfortable with this because some of my older guests probably have no desire to be out that late especially on a friday. I ended up changing my recpetion room and they moved it up to start CH at 7:30 and the wedding will be over at 12:30.

The timing seems to depend on what room your in. WGP evening weddings for Fri/Sat seem to be a 8:00 ceremony and a 8:30pm-1:30am ch/reception. Other rooms start earlier so that they are staggered.

Sunday evening weddings in the WGP are until 11pm. That's what I think we are going to do--- really wanted the WGP but didn't want a day wedding and didn't want it to end at 1:30am! So this is the best choice for us :)

Just found out that they DO add additional tax and a 20% service fee when you have a ceremony on site.

To figure out your total bill:

Venue/Food/Alcohol: Rate per person * min num of guests = x
Service Fee (20%) = x(.2) = y
Tax = 0.8625(x+y)
Ceremony: 750
Ceremony Service Fee (20%) = 750(.2) = 150
Ceremony Tax = 0.8625(150+750) = 77.63

This DOES NOT include the meals for vendors (1/3 OFF of the rate pp) or the tips for the bridal attendant or matre'd. Fox Hollow recommended $100 for the bridal attendant and $5pp for the matre'd. HTH

Take a look at the first page of this thread and there is a link for most common questions asked. There is a spot about cake choices including a list of fillings It will help you narrow down your choices! goodd luccckk!

Direction Cards

At what point am I able to pick up the direction cards to put into my invites? We are getting married Aug. 12. I want to send out my invites at the end of May/beginning of June, and I know I wouldn't have had the 2 month meeting/planning day at this point.
