Hi all..I'm new to the board and wanted to start off with a question. I have the choice of a Saturday wedding at 11am or a Sunday night wedding and I'm not sure what to take. I was thinking that a Saturday is better than Sunday because people have to work on Monday but...some people (mom in particular) think that Saturday at 11am is too early..What do you guys think?

Maybe you oculd shop around for some other places that you can afford on a Sat. night. Where are you having?

June is expensive regardless of where you are going. Good luck with the decision...whatever you decide, your RALO (relatives and loved ones) will be there to share in the day.

I am doing mine Saturday Afternoon... 11:30AM ceremony. 12-5 reception.
I think this is better for the 'older folk' since they would be more inclined to stay the entire ceremony.
And as far as drinking goes... i wouldn't have any less drinks if it were a sat afternoon wedding or a sat night one. I'm a lush.

I think you should decide what type of wedding you want and that'll help with the time decision. I picked Sunday night. We defintiely did not want a daytime wedding because we feel that it's a much more subdued affair. If you let people know in advance, Sunday night is not an issue. Actually, I was worried (my family is always Sat night weddings) but everyone's been telling me they'd prefer the Sunday night to a Sat day or a Friday night.
