Just wanted to introduce myself since you will probably start seeing posting some questions etc. I have been a member of this site for a while now. To make a long story short me and FH was suppose to get married in April of 08 and about 4 months beofre the wedding FH called it off. Yes I was devasted, at the time I felt a little unexpected but after some time passed me and FH talked things out and I understood where he was coming from and we worked everything out and now are realtionship is much stronger (lots more to it but wanted to keep it short).
After much deabte of FH telling me everyday we can just got to town hall and get married any day you want, I was considering this, then considering just going to Vegas (cause i love it there) and just inviting everyone there we decided to have a wedding here on LI so all our family and friends can be here. I think I might be a little crazy to plan all over again but I am going to!
So with all that said my name is Tanya, I will be getting married 11/13/09 (yes it is friday the 13th ; we got engaged on a Friday the 13th too ) at Chateau Briand. Very soon but since I already went thru most of it once already I am pretty sure I can handle it .

Oh congrats! and welcome back!
sometimes you have to go through some awful awful time to make the end result well worth it and also to make the relationship stronger. I know that was the case for John and I. it really pays off in the end!
How much planning have you completed? It sounds like just the hall and you still have to do everything else??

thank you! so far i have only booked the hall. pretty sure i have a photographer, need a videoagrapher and limos. since i baically had everything planned the first time ...i know mostly what i am looking for and want so i am hoping it wont be to difficult this time around!!

Welcome back and congrats!! I went through a similar situation with my FH a few years ago. We had a wedding planned for Sept.2007, he called it off, we got back together 4 months later , got re-engaged March 2007 and are now getting married in 24 days! Good luck with everything!!!

A friend of mine got married on Friday the 13th 4 years ago....so far so good!
