New issue of Modern Bride Mag

Has anyone seen the April/May 2005 issue? There are invites in there for $290 each, placecards for $45 each and programs for $50 each!

Minimum order is 50-75 pieces! Crazy...

What are they made out of...gold...platinum??

Some people have way too much money. But I guess if you have it, you need to spend it on something.

I better get a singing telegram that's going to knock on each of my guest's front door, yes, including the OOTers, and sing the invite.

Please I'm all for nice things but let's not lose perspective here... people throw them out. For $290 I'd make each one of my guests fram it and hang it in their living room for all eternity

Not for nothing but if you have the money to spend $290 on one invitation, then you are NOT reading modern Bride Magazine - you are paying someone else to read it for you. These are obviously not invitations for the common folk. I think most of us could have about 3-4 guests at our weddings for the cost of just one invitation. It is all about PRIORITIES!!! But now that I think about it, if I had that kind of money, Id find SOMETHING frivolous to spend it on. Invitations, wouldn't be it!!!

You will have to pardon me but when I replied to your post, the 'you' was not aimed at you specifically. It was an understood 'you' meaning 'anyone'. I apologize if you felt as if this was a personal attack. I meant no offense and I am sorry if you interpreted it as such. I would never be so bold as to personally attack someone in a public forum - it would be uncalled for, unnecessary and against my nature. Again, I apologize for any misunderstanding.

I saw the beach themed ones for $6,600 for 100
