new question about photojournalist proof amount

what do you think is a good amount??

Not really. How many from the posed guy? I got over 900 proofs in total, although I was contracted for 400-600.

For Photojournalism??? NO WAY!!!

Think about it, with PJ you are taking candids... they need to take alot more shots to get the good ones... if the photographer has to stick to such a low proof count, he's not going to get alot of good ones...

For posed shots, that might be enough though.

No Way!! Our contract states we're getting a min of 700 photojournalistic proofs and they told us it can go as high as 1000 depending on the days events.

umm, honestly? My photjournalist has promised us over a thousand. Maybe i am biased but that seems like a little low to me.

Honestly, no

If it were the other way around (say , 175 formal shots and at least 400+ photojournalism ones) then I'd say fine. But 175 proofs for photojournalism is FAAAAR too low. Even out of 400 you might only really love a handful .. si given only 175 to choose from, I think you might have a problem picking ones you like.

I think we got about 500-600 proofs, and we only had one photographer for 5 hours total. So yeah - like everyone else said, 175 is crazy low unless you are more into posed shots and don't care for the candids. I don't enjoy posed shots, so we only got one photog - truly a photojournalist - and the 5-600 proofs were plenty for us.
