UGH. People are actually making me regret getting this ring. Ive gotten a few very snide remarks from people regarding it and it is making me so upset.
People know me and should know we are by NO MEANS rich, dont even have a place to live after the wedding, and are paying for the entire thing ourselves, we are sacrping by just like any other couple starting out on long island!!!
WHYYYY do people have to be so rude...are they just jealous?
FH and I work so hard saving for our wedding .... ***Sigh***

I dont care what they think, If I like my ering that is all that matters. They arent the ones wearing it
I hear ya on the scraping to save we are in that boat too and I am sure alot of girls are the same boat!

Yes people SHOULD keep their opinions to themselves. You are an adult and can make your own decisions.
They are saying stuff like, 'oh I though you guys were having trouble paying for the wedding' or 'wow, must be nice to have that kind of money to spend'
UGH.. I mean mostly these are not close friends, but few of them made comments too

Aww Jenn, I'm so sorry you have to deal with people and their pettiness!! Don't take it to heart, they're just jealous of you and unhappy with their own lives.
I agree with Blu-ize, that's a great comeback. Also, to those who aren't married you could make a snide remark like 'well if you ever get engaged you can where whatever you like'.

Don't second guess yourself and try not to regret your decision to get the new setting (which is gorgeous by the way) Like you said, they're probably jealous. As long and you and your FH are happy and love the new setting that's all that counts. I love your ring before and after and as long as you're happy thats all that should matter...but I have a question as far as the wedding bands go...what kind of wedding band are you thinking about getting that will match your current setting?
