I just got engaged in April and have been reading all of the interesting topics out there. This forum is extremely helpful. So we booked our place - Woodbury Country Club on October 12, 2007 - and now I need to find wedding officiants. Can anyone recommend a Priest and a Rabbi? I found a website that has contact info, but I feel more comfortable if someone can recommend officiants. We want a nice mix between the two - not one person overpowering the other. Know what I mean?

Welcome, welcome and congrats to you!!! I only know the priest that is marrying us at our church. Do you belong to a church and or temple? Most priests and rabbis will go the hall if you are having the ceremony there. Also, look in the back of bridal magazines. Sometimes there are ads for officiants that will come to the hall. I hope I helped a little!!

Hello susdoug, No I don't belong to a church anymore and the temple my fiance belongs to became orthodox so he doesn't really go anymore. I'll try looking through my mags. I'd like to avoid having to interview as many as possible. :) Thanks again, C.

Welcome!! I do not know of a priest/rabbi, but there are lots of girls using them here! Me and DH are interfaith and we used an interfaith minister - thats always an option as well. Good luck in your planning! Woodbury CC is beautiful!

Take a look at the vendor page. I had contacted the Rabbi/Preist team on there. They seemed really great, but we couldn't justify the price for only 20 minutes.

We used Fr. Tom McCormick and he did a great job!!! He's a vendor on here and often does interfaith weddings, def give him a call!!

Oh, ok...I can understand not wanting to interview many. Does your hall have someone they use or can recommend?

Congrats and welcome. Try giving the Historical Chapel of Woodbury a call. It is right up the road from Woodbury CC. It is a cute little chapel (non religious) and they may have ideas / suggestions for you. Good luck
