New to the boards
Hello ladies! Newly engaged and looking to start my search.First thing on the list is venue, I'd like to be on the water. Preferably a saturday but will do a friday in march, april or may 2014. Any quotes would be so helpful and any recommendations, I will probably have around 250-300 people!
Thanks!

Congrats and welcome! I'm not sure how many people they can have for weddings but as far as waterfront goes I've heard good things about lombardis and lands end. HTH!

First of all congrats and welcome! You'll be able to find loads of advice on these boards.Wow that's a big wedding! Lombardi's on the bay is right on the water but I'm not sure what their max is. Also check out the Venitian Yacht Club

Lombardi's on the Sound/Bay are probably too small for your wedding. There's Villa Lombardi's but they do multiple events at a time, but if you're okay with that, check them out.I think Land's End would be perfect for your number of guests!

Thanks for your suggestions! I'll take a look at Land's End. Anyone have any idea on pricing from March-May?We did have our eye on Bridgeview Yacht Club. I heard they can hold up to the amount of people we are planning to invite. If anyone has booked there or has looked there, if you have pricing info that would be great!
We're trying to gather has much info as we can as far as pricing before we actually go to the venues.
And I know - big guest list but we both have pretty big families and that is the bulk of the guest list right there!
Thanks again!

Thanks! When they quoted you the $125, did that include all the taxes and service charges or is that before?

I'm pretty sure when I spoke to Land's End and mentioned cash payments, they said they'd waive the tax. So that's a huge chunk you wouldn't have to pay. And both they and Flowerfield (same owners) made sure to tell us 3 or 4 times that all the quotes were negotiable.Welcome New Vendors
