Hi All !!! I've been reading all the posts for about a month and have found them so so helpful! I'm new to the whole planning a wedding business and was curious, what like the average rate for a photographer, DJ, florist..........I have no idea so when I go I wouldnt know if I was getting a deal or getting screwed!! Help!

The best thing is to set a budget on what you'd like to spend for each vendors. Visit lots and lots of diff. vendors such as florists, photographers and DJ's and let them know what your budget is. Keep on searching and hunting. Also, for each of the vendors you're interested in, I'd say do a search and look for reviews. To give you a price on how much things cost wouldn't be necessary b/c everyone has diff. budgets. Just set your desired budget and the vendor will work from there and tell you what you can get for that amount.

Welcome and congrats! I think that prices are very varied on things and it really depends if you are on a tight budget or not. The biggest sticker shock to me was the photographer, the range about 4k. IMO, don't go with the cheap ones, you pay in the long run, unless photos aren't too important to you. Get quotes, let us know, and we can help you out.
