Since its wedding season I keep seeing on FB people posting pics from wedding they have gone. Since I'm super nosey when it comes to weddings now (LOL) I always look through them.
And I've noticed a lot of people are taking a trend from the royal wedding and asking their guests to wear hats?! When I asked one of my friends about it, cause I thought it was a joke. She said the bride sent out an email at almost the last min telling all the guest there would be a new theme and if they ladies can all go buy hats.
Everyone looked so silly and ridiculous LOL
I could never imagine being a guest and getting an email a week or two before saying 'please go buy a hat' LOL

I wrote it as my status on fb the day of the royal wedding....as a joke! lol
I would never ask people to wear hats & I would never wear a hat to a wedding! I think it's silly.
Where would you find an outrageous hat like that anyway?

I would not do that. This question makes me think of when certain trends got started. Such as the family plaques and the white day of sweats.

umm that's a little crazy!!! If someone asked me to wear a hat to their wedding....I would most likely laugh lol

I have joked around saying all women should get hats, but im not serious and i wouldnt tell them 2 weeks before!

Yea if anyone asked me to wear a hat, and last min none the less I think I would laugh in their face. But some of the hat I saw were the real deal, like feathers and all. I would never waste my money on something like that, and I can only imagine how much they wasted.
sooo stupid! And it just makes everyone look horrible!
I'm sure that bride will be regretting that idea when the pictures come back LOL
wow .. I would never ask anyone to wear silly hats to my wedding. And if someone asked me, whoa I don't think I would do it. lol.

THIS!! But, if I were that guest, and was told I should go buy hat, I'd be a bit pissed and wouldn't do it anyway because I don't like wearing hats!

really?? MY FSIL went to a shower where i think it was a teaparty and hats were required...never heard/noticed for the weddings....

Is it bad that if someone told me I had to go out and buy a hat for their wedding giving me only a weeks notice I would go out and get one of those Dr. Seuss hats? How ridiculous.

From what I see the plaque has what your family name will be after the wedding. Most brides get them in their wedding colors or colors that will match their house. The plaque gets displayed at the wedding either at the sweetheart table or cake table. Then you get to hang the plaque up at your home.

the shower could be fun, if you arent taking it soo soo seriously, but wedding no way!
ive seen a girl who had a tea party theme and my friend was in the BP she said for the most part it was fun seeing everyone with there hats.
