rather than counting points there are 'core foods' that you can eat as much of them as you want, including meats, fat-free dairy, fruits, veggies
then you have 35 points to use during the week as well.
it seems kind of low carb (IE processed carbs) but better..and you can switch back if you dont like it, so i am trying it!

I bought the new books that are updated with both points and checks next to core foods. You can switch from week to week if you want. I may try it next week- we'll see . . .

Re: new WW plan, who is switching?
It sounds similar to Atkins in that you have as much lean protein and veggies as you want. I was doing WW online, but abandoned it because I was seriously thinking about food ALL the time. I went back to Atkins because I just never feel hungry, don't have as many cravings and loose weight faster. With 51 days to my wedding the speed factor is crucial. But I wasn't gaining on WW, so I may go back for maitenance after I lose these last 12-15 lbs.
Thanks for the heads-up!

I just joined WW and I'm trying the core program. It's ok so far, I think I can do it! At least I haven't felt hungry yet.

Re: new WW plan, who is switching?
I am starting it today. There is a lot of food you can eat. I hope I do it right. I have been on quite a stall on WW and really need to see the scale drop for my wedding in like NINE WEEKS!!!

Re: new WW plan, who is switching?
I started it yesterday. I haven't been on WW for over a year and I've gained back a lot of weight. I think the core plan will be better for me becasue I'll make better choices. On the old plan I'd use up all my points on junk and wasn't really eating healthy foods. I'm going to give it a try. The HM and post wedding pounds are killing me!

WOW....How fast did he lose the weight and how fast did she go down in one dress size? I am thinking about trying it. I hated counting the points. Scott

That was my problem as well. I just went back to being fat.

Re: new WW plan, who is switching?
I have been on the plan for almost a week and like it a lot better. Its more structured and I think easier to follow bc you can just eat when hungry and stop when full and not worry about the points.
I have been on a very long plateau on points, so I hope this works to speed things up. I will post after my weigh-in to let you know if its working!

Re: new WW plan, who is switching?
I've heard it's very good for plateaus. I'm starting hopefully today. I'm going to start on ppints because I did well on it before and I don't like being told I can't have something. I'd rather eat a yogurt for breakfast and 2 egg whites for lunch if it means I can have pizza for dinner. Good luck with the new plan. Let us know how it works.
