New Year's Eve at wedding venue?

I told my fiancé I really want to celebrate New Year's Eve where we are getting married so we can experience an event there before our actual wedding. I don't think we will be going there as guests anytime soon so I think this is the perfect opportunity!

Is anyone else doing this as well?

New Year's Eve at wedding venue?

I would do this if my venue offered it! I think it is a great way to see the venues service from the guest perspective.

New Year's Eve at wedding venue?

I think we are going to do it next year. It's very expensive and both of us are not the most outgoing when not with our friends. We're gonna try to convince another couple (probably my MOH and her bf) to go with us so we won't feel weird lol.

New Year's Eve at wedding venue?

We booked it! :) it is expensive but next year my fiance has to work on New Years Eve so this year is our only opportunity. I am excited to attend a party there as a guest but I am also nervous!

Re: New Year's Eve at wedding venue?

I think it's a great idea and if we lived in Long Island FH didnt have to workit would have been a nice option. But, we plan on celebrating our anniversaries at our venue since it is a restaurant also :)

New Year's Eve at wedding venue?

We considered it because I agree - I think its a great way to really experience an event at your venue. We only decided against it because we just moved into a new apartment and are spending our first official night there on NYE bc we are lame and thought it would be a cute way to start the year. :)

New Year's Eve at wedding venue?

last year i went to chateau briand for NYE and i had a wonderful time and fell in love with the room! Wasn't even engaged yet, but I knew I wanted to go back there when the time came. Low and behold, when we got engaged Chateau Briand was the first place we looked at and i fell in love with it all over again. Definitely think its a great idea to do NYE at your venue if they do it! :)

New Year's Eve at wedding venue?

We're going to dinner at the Milleridge Inn - we haven't seen it decorated for Christmas and figured it's a great way to celebrate getting married in 2015. I've also heard the food at the restaurant is terrible so we'll see how it goes. I think it's an awesome idea, why not!
