New Year's Resolution DIET Thread

Ok, ladies. There are soo many of us that all have one of the same resolution... DIET! So, I thought it would be cool if we had a thread so we can stay motivated in case we started to feel like we were coming off the wagon. I KNOW that we all have our 'off' days...weeks...he.ll...sometimes even MONTHS for me!! I got 93 days to look my bestest... So anyone with me?

I'm starting tomorrow... I'll work out with the 30 Day Shred each morning before work... then I'll do it when I get home from work as well. I'm sure I'll HATE Jillian all over again! LOL

Also, I'm being verrrry careful of what I eat. No more cra.p... sticking to healthy food. I'm gonna stack up on the veggies as well just in case I get an urge for a snack.

I was told that peanut butter and honey ... just a tablespoon, can hold your hunger over for about 2 hours...I may have to try that...but I can only imagine how that must taste ... :Yuck: LOL. At this point I'm willing to try ANYTHING!!! LOL

Who's with me for this motivation thread???

Im going back on the treadmill but, next week...I have to wait for all the xmas stuff to be put away. And starting WW tomorrow. I really just want to lose what I put on during the holidays and tone up. I would love to try the 30 day shread but, I have a bad back and shoulders and I have to be careful what I do.

I am doing what I always do- workout 3-4 times a week, low carb high protein diet and drink red wine only when I go out and cheat on one weekend day.

Same here! I'm trying to pace myself with this and then once April hits I'll be in the gym 5-6 days a week.

The diet my body responds best to (by a landslide) is South Beach Diet-however I'll be doing Phase 2 and 3 until April hits, then doing the Phase 1. So essentially I'm doing it backwards.

Until October 4 2009 I will be chanting 'mermaid dress. mermaid dress. mermaid dress. mermaid dress.'

I'm always more motivated when I have a specific goal and date to reach for. Wooo!!

Re: New Year's Resolution DIET Thread

I'm kind of doing WW but not going to meetings. I made myself a lot of green tea and put it in the fridge to drink instead of diet soda. Honestly, I know myself and I will not say I'm going to commit to a workout routine because I know I won't. A few years ago I lost about 15 pounds and consistantly maintained a weight of around 115 without exercise so I know I can do it without killing myself with exercise. I do plan to walk the dog a lot more though.

Well, I was doing that... Ya see, I used to do cardio kickboxing...which is much MUCH harder and it's for a FULL HOUR...and I would do that everyother day... so now with this...I lean myself into it and since it's only 20 mins..I drop lbs quicker. lol. My body is odd...LOL

Re: New Year's Resolution DIET Thread

i am scared to weigh myself - i have 99 days to go - but only 52 til boudior photos - shoot me please!

i started the 30 day shred this week - but i am alternating with the elliptical so i dont get sick of it - the first day killed but now its not so bad - doesnt help that i am sick and stuffy and cant breathe well...

anyway i am on a low calorie/low fat diet....

i have a carnation breakfast shake (i use only 1/2 the amount of milk and add 4 ice cubes) with either peanut butter or banana in it for breakfast (sometimes i also add instant coffee for an all in one)

a wrap of sorts for lunch (low sodium turkey or egg whites, or something else that has protein and not a lot of fat) - sometimes i will add a piece of cheese but no mayo

a piece of fruit for a snack before i leave work

i am alternating a salad one day with chicken or shrimp or something low cal in it and the next a piece of protein and some veggies....

i'll let you know how it works!
