New York Wines

Any decent New York wines? I'd like to give it as a gift his parents (they are huge wine fans!) but don't want to disappoint.

I'm partial to Pellegrini Vineyards out east on the North Fork. If they like white, go with the Vitner's Pride Chardonnay. If they like red, go with the Encore or Cab. Franc.

These wines are good. They may not match up to some of the top notch cali or ital wines...but they hold their own.

Actually, there are a couple of Finger Lake wines on the tasting menu at One if by Land, Two if By Sea in NYC that were really good. I'm not sure if you're looking only for LI wines though. Here's their site with a link to the wines: One if by Land

I really like Lucas - it's a Finger Lakes vineyard. I haven't looked for it in stores here though because we have it shipped to us.

I LOVE LI wines!! Wolffer is my favorite (can't ya tell by where we got married!!). Raphael, Pelligrini, Pugliese, Corey Creek, Bedell, Lieb, Lenz...so many options!! :)
