Welcome to LIW and Congrats, yes there are sooo many decisions to make when planning a wedding, just take it slowly and dont panic bec everything will be perfect. What kind of venue setting do you like, on the beach, mansion etc etc? How many people are you planning on having? Venue in Queens, Nassau, Suffolk? There are many beautiful venues all around, let me bump a list for you to see the diff prices
It will be difficult with 180 people b/c you don't want to spend your whole budget on the reception hall. you want to be sure to have enough $$ for the things that last beyond the day of the wedding (ie; photos, rings, honeymoon, etc.)
figure out what you are willing to skimp on and what is important to you and get the wedding sites and services magazine for places to call to get quotes from and you'll have a good starting point.
