For a Saturday evening in March 2010 I was quoted at $91pp++ for Westbury Manor, $85pp++ for Chateau Briand, and 84pp++ for the Harbor Yacht Club. those are the only one's that i can remember.

sorry, I forgot the year the first time.

Miller Place Inn and the Country Gardens at East Wind are both great for smaller weddings

Check out Danfords in Port Jeff. Right on the water, has a hotel on site, and GREAT prices.

Re: Newbie needs reception hall help!!!

All of these for 2009 when I looked were in the $70's and even $60's per person depending- Mill Pond Country Club in Coram (they just bought it and the golf course was beautiful, were in the process of building a bar and new dance floor- it was $75 for a Sat. night in June and 65 in off season), Meadow Club said $65 pp in winter on Sat night for 100 people for the big room, Sunset Harbour ranged from $60-$75 depending on the menu and the night, all the Lessings catering halls were reasonable and were fine with smaller weddings. Good luck!

Take a look at Sans Souci of SeaCliff... its BEAUTIFUL. If I didnt have an enormous Irish family, I would have loved to book there. But, I'd say its probably the type of place you wouldnt want to go over 120. HTH Good Luck and Congrats

Re: Newbie needs reception hall help!!!

if you go with the small list of 75-80,be aware that alot of places have 100 min so won't do smaller.
places we looked at for 60-75 were Larkfield which we chose, Westbury Manor upstairs, Harbor Club Huntingtion, upstairs both of which limit your access to outdoor gardens, Irish coffee pub, Geo Washington Manor, Bedell's in Freeport, Capt. Bill's reception room in restaurant, Holiday Inn Plainview.

prices vary by season/month and each RH has different rules for which they think should be cheaper. Sep/Oct are very popular now. Nov might be when they start lowering prices. Feb/Mar should be very reasonable - - in general.

Sat most $$$, then I think Fri, tthen Sun evenings and afternoons will be less.

if you are getting married in a church, check the times for the ceremony before doing times at RH cause if you do in reverse and pick say 7pm cocktail hour you may find church only does weddings at 2pm and you have big time gaP between.

check out fox hollow, the winter garden pavilion room is gorgeous especially if you are having a smaller wedding... you could probably get an even better price in March 2010 there vs. Oct 2009.. good luck!

i just booked larkfield manor for 10/01/10, and the prices were reasonable, but we are getting the bigger room. they have a smaller room and i am sure it is less expensive. but they are wonderful there, and you get a lot of food for what you are paying for. good luck and welcome!

You might wanna look into Pine Hollow Inn in Miller Place. That's where I'm booked. It's BEAUTIFUL there, and if you talk to the owner, he can really work with you. It's a great place to deal with.

Where is this? My parents live in Miller Place and I've never heard of it? Isn't the Pine Hollow Inn on Rt. 112?

Check out Sans Souci 75-95 pp depending on menu. Beautiful location , plus we wanted a place that only has one wedding at a time. They can do weddings for 100 people no problem, I think there max is 200 people, but its tight.

Good Luck
