I just recently got engaged. FH was thinking about an October 2009 wedding, but looking at how much this might cost I am thinking maybe a Spring 2010 wedding. Does anyone have any reception hall quotes for Oct 09 and Spring 10? There are two possible # of guests, either we have 100-125 or maybe we have a small list of about 75-80. So ladies if you have quotes for small receptions, I would appreciate that as well.
THX!!

Re: Newbie needs reception hall help!!!
Verdi's was very nice. The food was great. I am having mine at the Sand Castle.
If you are looking out for suffolk, I don't know how the prices are but out in Patchogue is West Lake Caterers, very nice also!
Good luck and congratulations

Re: Newbie needs reception hall help!!!
Whether you are having a Friday, Saturday or Sunday wedding really makes a difference in price.
Have you looked at the North Ritz Club? We were quoted at $135 for our Saturday night wedding this October. HTH!

Hello and congrats on your engagement!
I'm an Oct '09 bride so I have a few quotes for you. We're planning on about 130 people. We were looking for sunday's.
Timberpoint was $65 ++ West Sayville Country Club was $75 total
These are the only two I remember off the top of my head. I will check when I get home!

Look into Windows on the Lake. Its beautiful and the prices are reasonable. They also have a sister all across the lake called Beach Club Estate (being renovated now).

Re: Newbie needs reception hall help!!!
I also forgot to include East Wind which is where I booked last night!! We booked at the country gardens which is perfect for smaller weddings. They were $80 total. I love it there!!!
Also we looked at Three Village Inn since they have guest accomodations and that was big for us. They were $80 ++ for a Sunday night.
HTH.

Re: Newbie needs reception hall help!!!
Prices are going to vary based on time of year, day of the week and time of day.
Are you looking into a specific day of the week and time? Alot of the price quotes I got were for Oct/Nov Sat afternoon: the prices were $80-95 on average. Westbury Manor was 95 for Oct and 90 for Nov. Chateau La mer was 90. Chateau Briand was 85.
