Newbie....Finally saying hello!!

Hi Ladies!

I've been reading the boards pretty frequently and posting here and there occasionally.... and now I finally have the time to actually say hello!

I've been engaged for 6 weeks and loving life! We are just starting to look at RH and I have got so many great ideas from all you 2012 brides We are looking to get married September (or sometime in fall) of 2012. Do any of you fabulous bride-to-be's have any good recommendations?!

Looking forward to getting to know you all!!

My taste has been all over the place...I plan on looking at Jericho Terrace, Westbury Manor, FoxHollow (I'm in love with what I has seen of the Somerley room). Would love to do something on the water, but I don't know if it will be in our budget or convenient for our guests.

Are you looking to stay in Nassau? I went to a lot of places on the water in Suffolk.

Most likely...if we get married in my home parish which is in Westbury, I would like to stay in Nassau. If we find a place in Suffolk we love, we will most likely get married there.

I'm OOT bride...currently live in Maryland, but all my close friends and family are all in NY

Do you have an idea for budget and the approx number of people you'll have? On the water, we saw the Riviera (Massapequa) and the Thatched Cottage (Centerport).

ETA: just saw your post above. Centerport isn't so far into Suffolk... it's probably still worth checking out. I'm an OOT bride too -- I grew up on LI but now I'm in England

Thanks!! We're looking to have between 130-150 at our wedding...180 is on the list but can't depend on everyone coming. I would like to keep the reception cost under 25K...the lower the better, lol. I'll have to research the Thatched Cottage...Riviera is out due to Family drama. Living in London sounds so exciting! I always wished I studied abroad!
