I think we need some etiquette here. I have this problem a lot with my online college classes. There's always somebody who will log onto class late and then go 'Hi Professor, sorry I'm late! What are we doing?' right in the middle of the professor's lecture. You would never do that in real life! I think you should treat these boards like you would a real life situation - you wouldn't walk up to a total stranger and start asking them questions about their wedding plans. Be polite, say hi, introduce yourself, then ask away. At least then everybody would know who they're talking to. I'm not saying people HAVE to do this. It'd just be nice if they did.....

I guess I'm technically a newbie although I've been lurking for quite some time. I got married last May. I had found this site (after booking most of my vendors) and read some negative stuff on my reception hall which freaked me out and my hubby forbade me from coming back (more for his sanity dealing with me than my own ) Anyway, I think I'm still suffering from post wedding blues and I enjoy seeing all the different things other brides do.

Why does this always turn into a battle? I think newbies should introduce themselves. We welcome them but when there are strange posts going around in one day, it gets a little suspicious….

Welcome Newbies! ELIT: I checked out LI Sound and I really liked them and they were very fair to me on price! Only reason I didn't use them is because I went with the DJ my hall recommended because he matched LI Sounds price! The guys at LI SOUNd are very nice though, and I would definitely use them in the future! Good luck in your planning!!

I guess I'm still a Newbie!!
I've been hooked ever since I found the site. It really helped me get a lot of great ideas. After chatting with a few on this board, I went out and booked my reception hall. Although my wedding is over a year away I cant help but begin to be consumed by it!!

Welcome newbies! Qgurl, I totally feel the same way. I've been engaged since Halloween 2000 and we finally set a date last April. It seemed so far away and I couldn't wait for it to get here, but now that I've only about 3 1/2 months to go, I'm so afriad I'll be so sad when it's over!
