Newcasters

I was just wondering how do these newscasters stay safe while they are in Iraq, I don't understand how they are not killed, if their were iraqi newscasters in the USA, I would think we would get them out of here? Someone please explain.

I know that some stationes pulled their staff out of Iraq, and I have also seen some reporting done by Freelancer journalists...

Last night I was watching CNN, and most of the reporters that they were talking to were either on military bases, or on Navy ships.

I have no answer for you, but I was thinking the same thing last night.

The only network to have newscasters still in Iraq is CNN...every other network is broadcasting from neutral locations around the area...Qatar, Kuwait, Oman...they have pulled their reporters for safety reasons. Only CNN would be crazy enough..

The CNN newscasters are reporting from either bases on the Iraqi border, on US Warships, etc...
If they are in Iraq, they are likely broadcasting under heavy security within groups of special forces...therefore they are dressed like the US Special forces and using the camera technology that is about the size of a pen.

It's really amazing what they are doing now....

When I was on the CNN site, I cliecked on a map and it showed where newcasters were, and some were inside Iraq. But if they are dressed in US specal force garb, how are they not being killed.

I don't know how they are doing it, but I do like CNN, they seem to always have more info, I guess that is why, they are right in the middle of things.

Hope they can all stay safe!!!!
