I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. I'm very excited!! I'm so glad i heard about this website. I've already learned so much from you all. My fiance (it still feels weird to say that!) and I are meeting with the priest at his church next week. Some people have told me to wait to go to reception places until we meet with the church, but they already told me the dates they have open (lots - that's a relief) I'm anxious about coordinating the church & reception. I don't want too much of a gap in between. What do you all think? Can we start looking now?

Congratulations
It's never too early to start planning your wedding, especially picking at reception halls. Some halls get booked fast. After I got engaged, we looked and booked our reception hall within 5 days.

You're scaring me. My goal is to have the church & hall booked by the end of the month.
