Hello to everyone. I just got engaged Friday Februaury 4. I am so excited yet nervous. Why is it that when people find out your engaged the first question they have is when's the wedding? Should I have that answer? We are planning soon. We are writing our guest lists out first so that we know that the places we are going to be looking at can accomodate us. I was also wondering if anyone has an interesting and different idea about how to ask your bridesmaids and Maid of honor to be in your wedding party. I want to do something different. First off Congratulations
Second...no one knows why the second words out of people smouths after you tell you got engaged is 'when's the wedding?' its one of those unsolved mysteries...just have fun planning it and take your time...enjoy your engagement foremost

Congratulations!! I got engaged two weeks ago and that's all I hear is 'When's the Date' We're still looking but enjoying every minute of it.

Congratulations!! Welcome to the site!! There will plenty of pressure but enjoy it as much as you can and dont let them rush it. As of the 22nd, I will be engaged a yr and not getting married till 06. I took my time!!!

Hello, Thank you so mcuh for the advice that you gave me. I have been at work all day thinking about that awful question and getting depressed that I don't have a date yet but I do feel better now. A bunch of other woman mentined the website for the cards. I love the idea. Where did you find the poems? Thank you so much for your help! Congrats to you as well!

Congrats! Welcome to the (usually) wonderful world of weddings!
I'm only having a MoH and 1 BM. My BM is my best friend from college, and we have tons of pictures together and I've given her lots of photo albums over the years. I bought her a really nice one and wrote her a letter about how much she meant to me, and basically askig her to be my BM and to fill this album of pictures from the wedding. She loved it!

Congratuations! LIweddings is absolutely the best resource for your planning, plus its totally addicting! Take your time in planning, I got engaged a few weeks before christmas and when people asked about the date I told them we weren't going to think about that until after the holidays and they stopped bugging me. Except my mom. I just asked my BM's in person, no fancy cards or anything else, just a simple 'will you be my bridesmaid?'
