Thank you everyone for your congratulations and support. Its nice to know there are people out there that are willing to give support and lend an ear. I read many reviews on halls which helped narrow down which ones I looked at. Now its onto planning Photographer, Videographer, Limos, Florists, and ordering dresses. Any thoughts on me wearing my mother's wedding gown just altering it (making it a strapless dress)? Any suggestions are great places to go for bridesmaid dresses?

I know everything will work out perfectly. I am try to not dwell on little things or things people say in passing. I am excited to be marrying the man I love. His sisters and brother-in-laws are all nice and are in my bridal party.

Congrats on your engagement, and don't let anyone ruin this time for you!! The negative stuff will become way less important in time, people will come around and you just have to be happy about the stuff that's in your control, and don't let your FMIL or anyone else rain on your parade.

I was a flower girl at a wedding at your hall when I was 5, haha, it was a long time ago but I remember it was a great wedding!

The mom's wedding dress sounds great, just make sure no sisters/close relatives also want to use it before you alter it! But the gown shopping can be a really fun experience too if you wanted something new. Good luck with the rest of your planning!

Congrats to you and FH. Yay another October bride. Enjoy your engagment - it goes by fast!!! And don't worry about FMIL. FH loves you - otherwise he wouldn't have asked you to marry him!!
