I posted here when i was planning my wedding and this site (and the people on it) are VERY helpful! I actually haven't signed in in a very long time and i randomly did today and saw you here lol

Congrats and welcome!!!! We are all very helpful. Enjoy your engagement. I didn't send out any announcement when i got engaged. I just called the important ppl and then facebooked it.

Congrats on the engagement and welcome!!!! Take time to enjoy being engaged - that amazing cloud 9 feeling eventually goes away (at least for me it did), so enjoy it while it lasts!!

We didn't send out formal annoucements since news spreads like wild fire in our families and we texted/called/facebooked all our friends, but doing one is totally up to you!

Awww that was soooo cute and I know what you mean when you say you're on cloud 9. I used to say 'cloud 9,?? more like cloud 99'.... LOL!

Congratulations!! So exciting!! We didn't do a formal announcement, just phone calls and FB. Then, we had an informal combined graduation for me/engagement party as a back yard informal event. We decided to jump on booking the hall b/c we wanted prime-time summer season since I will hopefully be working in a school. We weren't locked into a date b/c we are getting married where the reception is held. As other ladies mentioned, we narrowed it down to what we wanted. We knew we wanted a smaller wedding at a hall that only hosted one event at a time on the water without spending a fortune. We just knew when we looked, that our hall was for us although we looked at many other halls after. Just like I knew my dress and we knew our photographer before we even booked. It doesn't hurt to shop around, but when you know, you know. Good luck!!!
