Hi All Future brides to be:

Got engaged around the holidays and was totally surprised. We knew the engagement was coming since I got a promise ring in April but just didn't know when and how the proposal was going to happen. It was an awesome surpise and so happy to find the LOML who has been my best friend for 15 years. Looking forward to getting married in May 2014.

Starting to make a list of venues and questions to ask when we go. I want to be as organized and prepared as possible. Would gladly appreciate any input you may have on places to check out. Our guest list is about 200.

Congrats!! Welcome to a lovely group of ladies. Check out Land's End in Sayville, they have a large venue for a lot of people.

Welcome and congratulations! I second the Flowerfield recommendation, their service and food and impeccable, but sadly just a tiny bit out of our price range.

I also have to suggest the Estate at East Wind (biased)! Ask to meet with Penny if you go there, she is so great to work with.

Congrats and welcome! I got engaged too during the holidays.....Christmas morning opening presents! This is such an exciting time and I hope you enjoy it! I'm starting my venue search tomorrow so good luck finding your place!

Thank you for all the Congratulations and Welcomes. I'm so excited to start the planning process. I got a list of places and questions to ask up and ready to go and I just bought a wedding planning/organizing book tonight. Starting to look at venues next week. Thank you for all your input.

Around 100 a person can go up to 120. I have thought about water and water views me and FH like that idea if no water than really pretty and flowers and bright and inviting for the pictures.
