Newly Engaged

HI guys.

I am a total Newbie here, but am anxious to get started. My fiance and I got engaged on Christmas Eve. Right now we are hoping to get married on 3/26 or 4/2 of 2016. We are going to start looking at venues soon. We want to get married at the venue that we choose. Does anyone know if the Westbury Manor has room for a ceremony and a reception. Its been a week and I am already feeling overwhelmed and behind

Thanks for any help

Westbury Manor definitely has both ceremony and reception space. Don't feel stressed yet! Enjoy the glow. The ladies on this site are super helpful, so nice and welcoming. Welcome to LIW and there's a FB page for us too! Message me privately (we call it FM) if you'd like to join.

Congrats! I don't know much about Westbury Manor other than my cousin had her wedding reception there, I was in the bridal party, and it was very nice. We enjoyed the cocktail hour and food!

Congrats and welcome!

I'm a WM bride myself so I'll tell you what I know-

In terms of ceremony space, you can either have it outside, or indoors in what would be the reception room. The cocktail hour would also be either outside, or in a separate room (allowing them time to turn the room over from ceremony to reception, if you had it inside)

Definitely go take a look at the place! Everyone is so nice and helpful. They'll answer any question you could possibly throw at them!

Congrats! Enjoy the planning process, it is so much fun and you have PLENTY of time. I have been engaged for almost a month and we are all planned, it's actually very simple! Ask lots of questions since everyone is so supportive on here :)

Congratulations and welcome! WM can definitely do the ceremony on site. My FH and I visited and thought it was beautiful. They have peacocks, which I thought was so unique and cool. Don't stress too much! You still have plenty of time. Enjoy the planning process :)

Congratulations and welcome! I went to two events (one being a wedding) at WM in October so if you have any questions about something there please ask!

Congratulations and welcome! This site has eased my anxieties and all of us '16' brides are really welcoming! Do not feel as if you're behind. You're not. Enjoy being engaged. My fiance and I took six months to enjoy being engaged and then started planning.

Welcome!!! Don't be stressed all the girls are so helpful and we are all here for the same reason so it is a great group the be apart of! Westbury Manor definitely does both. The only thing I will say about them is that I did not find them to be very friendly. I contacted them a couple weeks ago and it took them a while to get back to me, the price was kind of much for the location and the women did not even try to ask questions or get to know me and my needs/ wants wheb speaking to her. Not saying the place is bad I just did not get a great first impression.
Best Wishes it is a lot of fun!!
