Re: Newly engaged
Normally last week in October to around February/March. What is your price range? We may be able to help with venues if we know your pp limit.

I wanted a fall wedding and I saw when I was getting quotes that prices started to drop in November. The least expensive time to get married would be late fall, winter and very very early spring (March)

Ive heard it's cheapest between December & march. Also an afternoon wedding is cheaper than a nighttime wedding. Fridays & Sundays are cheaper than Saturdays. Like stre2629 said if you let us know what budget you're looking at we can definitely help you out with venue suggestions

I wanted December, but went with early January. It was cheaper at all the places I spoke to.

I always wanted October but once I started looking at venues I realized that I could get a saturday night in November for only a little more than what would be a friday night in October. Keep in mind that when you visit places they are usually up for negotiation when it comes to lowering the price, lowering the minimum, or throwing things in.

My budget for me and fiancé is 10,000 because we are paying for it out of pocket, and the people were not sure about.

10,000 for the whole wedding (including photo, cake, DJ, dress etc) or just the venue?

There are a few venues that offer all-inclusive options. Most of them are10K for 100 people. I believe east wind, the sterling, miller place inn, and a few lessings venues (it changes every so often which ones have it so if you go to their page and look at each venue it'll have an option to look at a special pricing flier). A lot of them only offer all-inclusive in the winter. Most all inclusive packages include venue, photo, dj, flowers, sometimes limo and video.

You can easily find a hall in the off season for 100-125 guests for $10,000!

I would really suggest a few of the Lessing venues. Captain Bills in Bayshore is also very affordable, and The Riveria in Massapequa. It is amazing the difference in price from October to November, and choosing a Friday night, Saturday day, or Sunday. There are also some venues that offer receptions on a Thursday night, which would also be much more affordable and most likely have a lower minimum guest count.

The Watermill will definitely be in your budget. Also the best way to keep costs down is to cut the guest list. Even the most affordable venue will be over your budget if you have for example 200 guests

Congrads :) I was hoping for a fall wedding also, but after looking around I found it to be cheaper in January and February. So that's why I am getting married in January :) I got so much more for my buck! but I found there were less expensive venues.. but you could also get one of those higher venues in your price range on the off season.. but everything else is also cheaper because the photographers, djs, are all eager to negotiate because its their low season also.. if you are looking at 2016 January / February I can give you prices at westbury gardens, riveria, old field club, milleridge, Stonebridge, three village inn and Sayville manson

Definitely during the winter months (January-March) are the cheapest! Maybe consider having an afternoon wedding or even on a weekday. Our anniversary is in February so it worked out for us and we are paying less than $100/person. We also visited Crest Hollow, Fox Hollow, and Westbury Manor and all were under $100/person during the off peak months! It really depends on how big your guest list is though. I usually like to estimate $100/person so a 10k budget for the venue would be about 100 people.
