Newly engaged!!!!!!

Hi Ladies!

This is the first time I get to call him this and I am so excited! My FIANCEE and I went to an outlet jewelry store yesterday just to look at rings. I hadn't tried rings on yet so I wasn't sure what I liked and what would look good on my finger.

We called up an outlet store to see when they would be running sales on e-rings. The woman told me on the phone that they were in the middle of their largest bridal sale of the whole year and in addition Tanger was offering a 20% coupon. We took a drive out to the outlet store just to look and try rings on. My fiance wanted to make sure I loved the ring so we decided to go pick it out together. I walked in prepared to not find my perfect ring. The sales woman showed us a ring that I loved. It was one of the first rings I tried on and I was hesitant to declare it THE ring so early. The sales woman brought me ring and ring, different cuts, sizes, styles, mountings, etc etc. With every ring I tried on I came back to the same conclusion I had already found my ring. Then we find out that the ring is on clearance because it's an older style and it is 50% off. My fiancee and I were ecstatic! We're getting ready to pay and I ask how long it takes to resize it because I wanted to start wearing it ASAP. She tells me TWO WEEKS. I can't take it elsewhere as it would void my warranty.

I hate that I have to wait so long to wear my e-ring. Is this a common time frame? What did some other of you ladies experience?

It's a common time frame with chain stores like Zales, Kay, etc. With a smaller jewelry store, they'd typically do it right there. Stores like that don't have a jeweler on staff 7 days a week :( But congratulations!! Welcome =)

My ring was a family heirloom, and I didn't want to resize it, so I got the metal balls put on it. I went to Gennaro Jewelers in Bellmore Village. They do it in house while you watch. They were very Professional and friendly. They inspect the ring on a screen for you to see before and after they complete the work, to ensure you no damage was made to the diamond. I highly reccommend them! Ask for Sean he was awesome!
