Newly Engaged and Ready to Roll
Hi Everyone,I just got engaged on Saturday
and my feet still haven't touched the ground
I am so excited to be a part of LIW. You see my twin sister got married this May and was (still is) addicted to LIW. She got me addicted too but I just lurked because I felt funny not having a ring. Now I am official and so happy to be here. You guys are great and I know that I will learn a lot from you!
Here goes my first question: Do you think I'll have enough time to plan an August 05 wedding?

Re: Newly Engaged and Ready to Roll
Congratulations and welcome!I think you will have enough time, if you get moving and start planning now. I only got engaged in the beginning of September and I have gotten so much done for my July 05 wedding! You can do it!

Re: Newly Engaged and Ready to Roll
Welcome Aboard!!I definitely think you have enough time, but you need to start moving ASAP! My future sister/brother in law planned a LI wedding for 550 people in 9 months, so its definitely doable.

Re: Newly Engaged and Ready to Roll
Congrats, and yes, you definitely have time!! I planned our wedding in a 3 month period, and although there was no time for a breather, it was nice to not have a year or more with the planning occupying my time. Having the wedding in the off season (late March) gave us a big advantage in that many places and vendors still had our Saturday night available, and August will be tougher, but you can do it, especially since it sounds like you're already familiar with all of the steps! Good luck and have fun!!
