newly engaged - any suggestions for inexpensive halls?

Original post by vinsgirl

Hi everyone!
My fiance and I just got engaged on Christmas. I'm trying my best to plan a wedding for Oct 2010. Can anybody suggest RH's that aren't too expensive...I'm looking at under $80 pp. Perhaps some all inclusive places?
Any help is greatly appreciated and good luck to all!

Congrats on the engagement!!!!

Just my opinion but think about not getting married on a Saturday & you will save BOO COO dollars Also Ariana waterfalls is OK but its located between a Wendy's & IHOP & trust me its very close to both places = thumbs down!! Coral house for what you will spend you could get a more fancy place, I hate the carpet they have on the floors in the halls ways=thumbs down

Happy Planning!!!!

I had my wedding at Jericho Terrace. If you want be in the price range def. look at a Saturday or a Sunday afternoon wedding at JT. It is beyond amazing ! We had so much food ! The service from the start to the end was great ! All my guests rave about the service they received at the wedding.

Also, another place where you can look at is Leonards. It's beautiful there ! Went to a wedding there and the food is great.

If you don't mind a Friday or Sunday wedding you should have no problem finding a RH at under or around $80pp. If you're like me and you want a Saturday only in Suffolk County you might want to check out Sunset Harbour, Pine Hollow Inn, Marconi Manor, Brentwood Country club, Galaxie Caterers or Stuart Thomas Manor. All are $60pp or under on a Saturday and offer the packages I think you may be looking for.

Check out longislandcateringhalls.com. It helped me tremendously.

Try Sunset Harbour...I was quoted 80pp including tax/tip/and venetian for a sat in nov..i think a sat in oct was like $2.00 higher so maybe you can talk them down

Re: newly engaged - any suggestions for inexpensive halls?

Thanks ladies! So far We are stuck on Mill Pond Country Club. They offered us a great package and price for a saturday night. This weekend we are going to there food tasting. We are also going to take a peek at the East Wind before hand just to make sure we really love Mill Pond lol. Went to Meadow Club last night and it was 90 a head thats after taxes for a Saturday night but the room was too small and Im not crazy that they'll have two other weddings going on at the same time. If anyone is interested in Meadow Club they are having a bridal expo for free next Tuesday evening you have to call and RSVP they will be setting up free cocktail hour and also be serving chocolate martinis lol I might go just to eat and drink for free! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Congrats on your engagement!

I was in the same boat as you and went to Brentwood Country Club..the deal was nice but the ceilings were low and it was very dark...but check it out for yourself.

Check out Island Hills Country Club..it is in Sayville. Under $80/PP...the food is amazing, the place is gorgeous, ceilings are high, dance floor is huge and the bridal suite is amazing! We will be getting married there the weekend after Thanksgiving. You should be able to still book. Speak with Charlie the hall manager...he is amazing.

Good luck!!!

Well congrats to you! My cousin used Floral Terrace and the food is great, the place is huge and that was my hall of choice til we went to Russo's. They are running a special for a sunday wedding in 2010 for all inclusive 100pp and i think they include a dj as well. Def check it out. Chateau Briand I have heard mixed reviews either people love it or hate it, i have never been there personally though. Good Luck!!
