Newly Engaged, Fall Reception Hall Quotes 2011

Original post by SoontoBMrsS

Hi Everyone,

I just got engaged this past Friday and have been on Cloud 9 all weekend. My FH and I have been discussing cost of the RH and what we can afford although since I am new have no idea what to expect. Can anyone help? I am trying to find a reception hall in either Nassau or Suffolk County that caters to only one wedding at a time. We are thinking the party will be around 125 people and are looking to spend under 100.

Any help or guidance would be great!

Also, how do you attach a picture to your name like you all have?

- Go to the 'Account' link on top
- Click on 'My Account'
- Scroll down to where it says 'New Chat Avatar' and then you can browse your desktop and upload a pic on there.

I actually did not know how to do this either. THANK YOU!!!

No prob!

Congrats!!!!!!!!

Check out Crest Hollow Country Club. They were $69pp for a Sunday in November 2011 and $76pp for a Friday night. That would bring you to about $100pp with tax/gratuities.

I see you have 11/11/11 as your date - that's what I started with too! I went visiting RHs in January just about a month after I got engaged and 11/11/11 was already booked at most places (North Ritz Club still had it open, but that was in January, things might be different now).

Also, keep in mind that 11/5/11 is the night you 'turn the clocks back' so 11/6/11 is the 25 hour day.

HTH - contact me with any questions!

Welcome and congrats!!!!

I'm not sure on the pricing but the swan club and fox hollow might have good prices for the fall. It also depends on what you are looking for i.e. the grounds, one wedding at a time, church or no church, etc. But whatever you do....HAVE FUN!!!!!

We were looking at Columbus Day Weekend either Friday or Saturday (10/7 or 10/9) or possibly the 1st or 2nd week in November.

Congratss!!

We are getting married Friday 10-7-2011! I believe this is considered high-season. You may save money by doing November.

Hey, I don't know if this is an issue for you, but Saturday of Columbus Day weekend falls on Yom Kipper(The day of fasting). Just something to keep in mind incase you have guests who celebrate :) We decided to move up a week because of it.

Here are quotes for places I saw under 100 (before tax) with one wedding at a time:

Mansion at Timber Point

East Wind

Vineyard Caterers

Watermill

Windows on the Lake
