Newly engaged - ready to plan!
Hey ladies! I got engaged to the most wonderful man ever almost a month ago (12/22/12)! I was nice enough to give him the month (or at least the majority) of January off from planning! So I spent the past month figuring out what I envisioned the wedding to be (to share with him later on of course!) So I've told him & he likes too: (1)hopefully a September 2014 wedding, (2)I love the fall season, so I'm leaning towards a fall theme with lots of apple inspired things (color, favor, cake, etc).....Our agenda for this weekend is: (1)Bridal party talk (yey finally!!), (2) Guest list drafting, (3) Venue shopping....
With all that being said, any venue suggestions (with quotes would be amazing!)? Any wedding planning advise? Or just stop by and say hello

Congrats!! You will love it on here :)My venue is smithtown landing country club, We chose it based on reviews, looks, and pricing :) good luck and have fun!

Venue planning is so much fun, you'll have a blast! Definitely do a guest list with anyone and everyone that could possibly be invited so you have a really good idea of size.

Congrats and welcome! Planning is definitely the most exciting experience ever...just make sure you do your research and look at your options. Most of all have fun and try to not get stressed out. Happy planning!

congrats and welcome to planning!!!!!! :) definitely make lists that always helps! Since I got engaged I got a notebook where i sectioned off parts so I can take notes on vendors, venues and finally the guest list. It definitely helps to have an organized plan!!! :)as for venues, I'm getting married at Flowerfield- not sure what your budget is, but they will cost around $170pp for a fall wedding. Another venue I recommend is Willow Creek CC. They were my second choice!!! A few others I've been to and loved include Woodbury CC (my future brother and sister in law just got married there!) Fox Hollow, Danfords, and The Rivera are also all beautiful but very different places!!!
