Hey everyone!!!!! My FIANCEE and I just got engaged on Friday YAYYYY!!!! I am soo new to this whole thing!!! Does anyone have some good info/ideas on some reception halls or where to start!???!!! Thanks so much! WE ARE SO EXCITEDD!!

I would first determine when you would like to get married, and how many guests you would like to invite. RH usually ask when you first meet how many ppl you are inviting.
I'm having around 100 or so, and having it as the Larkfield Manor. Beautiful venue!!!
Also keep in mind if you are on a budget, prices pp tend to be lower in the off-peak months (end of nov-beginning of april), and are cheaper if you have your wedding on a friday night, or sunday afternoon/night.

As far as reception halls, I would first start with how big your wedding is going to be and go from there. There are a lot of beautiful places.

Thank you so much!!! Either Nassau or Suffolk but not too far east.. I would want a place that has only 1 wedding though so we will be looking at places like that as well. Any recommendations?? Where is everyone getting married ?? SOO excited!!
He proposed over a beautiful candle lit dinner he made me in our new apartment! SOOO romantic and the most spectacular and happy moment of my life! Nothing crazy, just me and him ..and the ring of course!!!

I think you should check out the Inn at New Hyde Park.The Inn at New Hyde Park is one wedding at a time. The ballroom holds up to 450 people.They have a beautiful outdoor ceremony area if you want to get married there. The cocktail hour is 1 1/2 long. You can choose to have it indoors or outdoors. I selected inside because the cocktail hour room looks like you are in Italy. Also, your guests have nine dinner options to choose from during your reception. Have fun searching for a RH! It's such a fun and exciting time :)

Flowerfield is 1 wedding at a time.
It may be too far east for you. It's in St. James (north shore).
Plus depending on your price range, it might be too much because it's a little more on the expensive side from what I've observed on this site.

if you upload pictures to a website (like tinypic.com) you can input the link you get from them into the 'insert web image' feature on the side on the panel underneath the smiles.
I use the 'code for layouts' link and it always works.

You have to resize your pictures. Right under where is says Wedding Chat up top a little to the right there is a resizer.

I'm getting married at Giorgio's. Its beautiful! But out east...and i know you said you didn't want that far.
Try: Watermill, Lands End, Flowerfield, Villa Lombardis, Lombardi's on the Sound....
