Newly Engaged...with some ??s

HI! I just got engaged on Tuesday...so ia am totally new to this stuff! We are hoping for a wedding in April 2004. Anyone know when or how I can find out when Easter is next year? I am living in RI currently, but my family is all in NY, and I grew up in Sag harbor. Has anyone ever used Montauk yacht club or Montauk manor? I am afraid they will be realllly pricy...but East Wind looks absolutely beautiful and so does the Flowerfield in St. james. How quick do you have to book for East Wind? I still ahve not actually seen it, and I see there is a wedding showcase on March 6th, but I will not make it to Long Island for that. Anyways, thats about all I have for now...I am sure I will be on here very often to get help@!:O) Did any of you get/buy one of those wedding planner books? Does it help? Please let me know!!!!

Thanks!!!!!

Hi,
I'm getting married at the EastWind 7/6/03
I booked it in April 2002. But maybe you can call and ask what weekends are available for 2004.
Some weekend holidays they give $$ off. Like memorial day they were going to take 20 off per plate, dont forget to ask about that.
If you have any questions about East wind feel free to ask

I just have a fat marble notebook i carry around, alittle frumpy but it does the job lol.

Here are some posts i did before when i went to the showcase Eastwind had in january:

Congratulations! Not sure if you're set on Montauk - I've heard Gurneys is great for a wedding. Also, the east hampton Pointe or Atlantica in Westhampton are also fabulous out there.

As for East Wind in April - a coworker of mine just decided to go with them for that month and she said they had no saturday nights left! In fact, she had to do a Friday and it was the only Friday they had left in April. Moral of the story, they're booking very very quickly. I know there is more than one room so perhaps she was jst referring to the room she wanted. I would defintely call and find out their availability asap.

I looked at the Montauk Yacht Club. It is very far out!! I remeber liking the dining area, but the dancing area is sort of dark. You have to do the cocktail hour outside or else the only other option is this pretty unattractive conference room. If you want to do something out east, check out the Vineyard Caterers in Aquebogue also. I am getting married there 3.29- it's just beautiful and very reasonable, even for a Saturday night.
