Newlywed Chop (poll)

Original post by MirabellaNYC

Since I've been on these board beginning in August, I notice a common theme among us girls: A Post-Wedding Newlywed Chop.

So I'm gonna do a poll here for us all. Tell us your comments too!

I have wanted this cut since The Holiday came out; I can't WAIT to get it!

Thats the length I'm almost at now...so funny b/c this is considered long for me! LOL
At least I have 8 more months of growing time to get in; BUT I have been a good girl and getting trims every couple of months.

When I was a kid my mom always had my hair bobbed with bangs so I swore as soon as I was old enough I would grow it out long (an act of defiance). Now that I've had it long forever I can't wait to have it shorter after the wedding is over!

8 months is a lot of growing time... they say average is 1/2 an inch a month....

OMG I cannot wait to chop this hair off!!! I used to always keep it on the shorter side but then let it grow because it made me feel like I looked younger and sexier I'm SOOO sick of it!

My hair gets so wild when its short (yeah for crazy curly frizzy hair). The length holds it down. I hated it at shoulder length when it would poof out and anything shorter would be disastrous. I am not chopping it until retirement.

I hear you...even if I cut my hair 6 inches, will still be so long that my hair will be weighed down. I have the same shoulder length poofy poodle thing going on, if I let it.

My drivers license has the shoulder length chaos on it. I HATE that picture. it reminds me every day not to chop my hair.

If anything I will take a couple of inches off and add a few more layers. I love my hair long.

I couldn't wait to chop it off. I only had trims for 2 years to grow it out for the wedding. As soon as I got back from our HM it was chopped. And I LOOOOOOOVEEEE it.

I agree with Tori. I absolutely couldn't wait to cut my hair. My hair was down to past my bra line after the wedding. Now it just about grazes the nape of my neck. I'm in love.
