NewlyWed Woes

Changing my name over is proving to be a very hard and confusing task. I never realized all the details and things I needed to change my name for!!! Any NewlyWeds out there going through the same thing??? :)

NewlyWed Woes

I did it all at once as soon as we got back from the honeymoon! The only thing I left to a few months later was my name on the health insurance. What is confusing you, maybe I can help. I found it to be relatively painless.

NewlyWed Woes

I just keep finding these little things that pop up. Like the electric bill came the other day, and I was like, DAMN I forgot to call them AGAIN! lol! But social security and the DMV were relatively painless. The bank was even easier.Car insurance is being a pain, they won't change my name until I change the name on my title. So, I guess that's staying in my maiden name until I get a new car, lol.

NewlyWed Woes

That is next on my to do list. I guess I am trying to delay a little with the name change. LOL I know first its your social security, then the DMV oh and I forgot the passport. The bank as well as the credit cards shouldn't be hard to change correct?

Hi - how long did the DMV and Social Security process take to change your name and for you to get your new cards?

Thanks!
