Other than the mani-pedi, what else needs to be done the day before your wedding? My family is thinking of holding a bridal shower for my cousin the day before my wedding and I wasnt sure if I could go because I have this notion there's a lot of running around to do. Can you tell me what yours was like?

The only thing I did the day before our wedding was go for my manicure and pedicure and attend our rehearsal dinner in the evening. Other than that, we were all done and able to relax. (Oh, we did have to go to the bank for some cash, but that was about it.)

Day before i did
final HM packing Mani-Pedi Hall drop off Picked up cake,Tux Drop car at HM site Few odds & ends, cash machine calls, LIW etc LOL Tried to sleep
JMHO -try not to pack too much in the day before yr wedding. You will already be running on adrenaline

I agree with you all on this, but it's easier said than done. I know my family will come down on me if I dont go, because she came up from florida for my shower. I dont want to rain on her parade either.

I went had, my mani-pedi, then hung out a while, got my DH's groom's cake, went to my MIL's for our bbq/rehearsal dinner, hung out there all night and then went home and had a good night's sleep

I had to WORK a half day before my wedding. It was a pain but it can be done, in the long run it didn't effect anything in a major way. I still had time for manicure/pedicure (heck I didn't even finish packing for the honeymoon till the afternoon before the wedding) It can be done. That said, try and do what you want. You shouldn't feel forced to go to the shower. The situation is a pain though...Good Luck

Why would they wait the day before your wedding to host a shower for your cousin. Can't they wait till after. The whole week should be all about you.

Unfortunately said cousin will be up from florida that weekend, so they thought it would be 'convenient'

day before I had to drop off everything to the hall, got a mani/pedi, got a facial, got my eyebrows done, went over everything w/ my DOC and vendors, thats all I can think of but I definitely recommend leaving the day before your wedding open because you will have a ton of stuff to do.
