Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
wear comfy shoes for dancing
bring some breath mints
tell your bridal party to be there at least 15 minutes before they actually need to be
dont stress about the small details, and the things you cant control (like the weather)
make sure a few different people know how to properly bustle your gown
and like shamma said.... enjoy every minute of it. it really does fly by!!!

If you are getting fake tips on your nails - get them a couple of months prior so that you get used to them and then you can choose how long and what color really looks best.
put someone in charge of telling all family members when family pictures are going to be before the day of the wedding - its too hectic the day of. and don't do it yourself - you won't have time!

Allow yourself more time than you think you need to get ready.
Make a must take photo list for your photographer.

Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
Remember, that it is not only YOUR day. Your wedding also carries great importance to your FH, your parents, and your grandparents. In the end, the decisions may be yours to make, but their feelings should be of great significance to you. If they feel loved, and that they are an important part of the wedding, then your day will be perfect. If you alienate them over minor details, it is likely to cast a shadow over your day.
Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
remember all the time you picked choosing vendors...they are professionals...they've done tons of weddings (unlike you)...leave the wedding to them and relax and enjoy...

Remember that no matter what happens, when all is said and done, you will be married to the love of your life, and that's really all that matters. Everything else is just fluff.

Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
I only have Irenie's personal chicken soup tips....
Remember to pick a point where you say whatever happens...happens. Something will not go perfectly (sorry its true) but you have to make yourself say 'oh well.' (If necessary handle it when you come back). Or let it go. Pick good bridesmaids that will calm you down, or handle issues that come up on your behalf.
Most importantly remember to enjoy your day. Spend time with your husband. In my case I insisted on a limo ride alone and I'm so happy I did. Sometimes people unintentionally pull you apart during the reception. The day goes by fast so take time to breathe it all in, try to say hi to everyone, and absorb the compliments.

Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
Do not let anymore then 2 feet come between you and your new husband.
Have people on both sides of the family corral other family for pictures. Make sure you have a list of must have shots for these people and the photog. Include what you consider obvious shots - like the ring picture, invite w/bouquet etc.
Allow extra time for everything, you don't want to be worrying about the time on the most important day of your life.
Take a quiet moment with your parents.
At some point during the reception - stop and take a look around and watch everyone for a second or two. It's quite something to see all your friends and family having a good time celebrating with you.
Try to go around to the table early in the evening and politely excuse yourself if a guest starts talking for too long. This may seem rude, but you have a lot of guests to tend to and it is impossible to have a 5 minute conversation with everyone (it would have take us over 11 hours to do that with our smallish wedding).

Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
Get a video!!
Do a must take photos for the photog and remember to give them it!
Put someone in charge of the table cameras (if you do them) so all the pics get used, and make sure this person does this an hour before the reception is over so there are more photo ops to be taken.
Put someone in charge of the day, preferably someone who has been through a wedding themself that can remember all those details you don't!
Make sure you have a rehearsal of the way you expect your ceremony should be, whether you are in a church or at the place you got married...the order may matter once you see how tall everyone is!
Be calm and don't sweat the small stuff or be dramatic over something trivial, it all will not matter at the end of the day!!
