This is only for the newlyweds to leave their tips to all B2B of things they should or should not do to make their wedding day the best day ever!!!
Get a day of event coordinator
Do not forget to greet your guest either at your CH or at the reception
Carry all numbers for all vendors
Do not let anyone bother you with anything negative
Spend time with your hubby
Dance a lot
Go over your must take list with your photographer and must play or must not play list with your DJ/band
Make sure someone in your party has a cellphone...make sure it is off during your ceremony.
Its your day enjoy every minute, it goes by way too quickly
Make sure you have an emergency kit
If I can think of anything else I will add here
All the best to all of you, happy planning

Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
Man, if only this had been bumped for my era!
OK, I have one VERY IMPORTANT piece of advice to add.
Meet with your actual photographer 6 months or so before the wedding. Everyone who works for the studio who I've met has been fantastic, with the exception of this one person. I didn't meet with mine until about a week and a half before and what a mistake. I had all sorts of misgivings about her after that meeting, and nothing could be done to change it because it was SO last minute. And all my fears (and then some) with her came true.
What's even MORE important is that YOU have to like your vendors. I chose this particular woman based on the recommendation of another LIW bride. The bride who said Go With Your Gut was TOTALLY right.

Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
I dont think anyone said this yet, but I stopped reading at about 20 replies.
HAVE SOMEONE IN CHARGE OF TAKING A PICTURE OF THE GROOM WHEN HE FIRST SEES YOUR FACE (apparently my husband literally lost his breath and no one has a picture of it because they were all watching me)
TAKE YOU TIME WALKING DOWN THE ISLE....ENJOY IT. Milk it. If someone (you father) is walking you down the isle, enjoy every second of it
Enjoy walking back down the isle with your new husband, give a nod or wave to people in the pews
dont let anyone bother you that day, if something does not go quite as planned, say 'whatever' and move on. (for examply my husband's aunts iddn ot wnat to take pictures with us, he did not wnat to tell me as it might upset me but when i heard, I said, 'oh well, screw it, they will not be in our album for hte next 50 years!
HAVE FUN

Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
- Bring all your contracts on the day of the wedding - hopefully you won't need them - but I had them!!
- make phone number list - I made a list of every vendors phone number, DH's cell phone number and gave copies to all the BM's - when there were a lot of phone calls made on my wedding day due to weather-related changes, they came in very handy!!
-comfy shoes and undergarments
-enjoy the day - it goes SO FAST!!!

oh, and don't forget to thank your parents even if they didn't pay for anything. Just for their support. I did it publicly at the reception.

Definitely reapply your lipstick and have your MOH remind you to reapply. I wish I reapplied my lipstick. I was having so much fun, I forgot about it or real didn't care at the moment....well until I saw my proofs! REAPPLY
Constantly ask people what time it is. It makes the day seem longer.
EAT EAT EAT....You will regret it after the fact. My DH and I were on the airplane on our way to Hawaii and said to eachother......'All that good food we missed out on'
Buy Rice paper.....You use them to take the shinniness/ oil off your face so your face does not look greasy in your pictures.
Take a moment with your DH and take the atmosphere all in!!! All these friends and family are here for both of you!
Make bathroom baskets if you can for the men and women's room. This help avoid people bothering me or my family for little stuff. The GUESTS raved about them. They loved to go to the bathroom and dig though the baskets.

Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
Definitely take a step back during your reception and look around at all of your hard work.
Make sure that you get pictures of all of your guests, either table pictures or however you want. You never know when will be the last time you will see them or that you will all be together.
Try not to let any minor things that might go wrong bother you! Remember that you hired professionals. Trust that they are professionals and let them do their jobs!
Remember that NOTHING is ever 100% perfect. People will not notice little slip ups, like the hair spray can facing the wrong way in your bathroom baskets.
Remember to enjoy your day, it passes fast!!!
It will be normal to feel a little sad and lost after you return for your honeymoon, without your wedding planning to do.

Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
Hire someone to help you the day of!!!!! I was so relaxed that day (I am not a relaxed person). I didn't have a care in the world. Our day of coordinator took care of every single thing. I didn't have to worry how this got to the church or how that was getting to the reception. I just had FUN!!!!
Another bit of advice. If you think you might want to do something, check it out now. You can't go back. IE: I might have wanted to try a different hairstyle and at the time did not want to spend the money for another trial. I should have!!!!!
Eat at your cocktail hour.
Definetly print out pics that you want recreated and have a detailed list for your photographer.
Hire a videographer.
If you can take a day before leaving for your HM. You have time to sing all your checks and relax with out of town guests that traveled so far to see you

Take a moment to take it all in. The day goes by very quickly.
Spend a few quiet moment with your DH.
This is so true, step back with DH and take it all in!
Know beforehand that there will be little glitches during the day but, don't sweat the small stuff!
Make a list of everything you need to bring to the ceremony and reception. (I forgot the pillow)

Make sure your E-ring is cleaned that morning or the night before- you want it to look nice and shiny in all the pictures!

Re: NEWLYWEDS GIVE YOUR TIP HERE TO ALL BRIDES TO BE
Have an alternate picture taking plan in case of rain. It POURED on my wedding day. I can't believe I wasn't more upset. But it worked out well- we got to the hall very early, thinking we would take pic in there, but they were very nice and let us into the chapel. They sent waiters over with food and drinks very quickly and it was really like our own private cocktail hour for the BP and families. We had SO much fun and we also got some cute pics of us under the umbrellas and running into the hall!
