Newlyweds: Will you send a TY to the no shows?

Not the ones with legit reasons like emergencies, death in the family, but the ones who just flaked out on you?

If they didn't show and sent a gift-yes.
there's no reason to send a thank you for someone who didn't show or sent a gift.

I had a flaky no-show from my bridal shower ask me why I didn't send a thank you card (there was no gift given). I was like, why would I send a ty? For your INTENTION to come?

If they sent a gift - yes. If they didn't show at the wedding and said they were coming...nope!

As the other girls have said... if they sent a gift yes, but I would also add that I was sorry that I wasn't able to thank you personally.

Same here, I think I only have one couple that falls into that category!

If they gave a gift then yes but I would mention that their absence was noticed. If no gift - then no thank you.

Did they give a gift. If so I would say you have to.

If they sent a gift yes. If they didn't then no I didn't. What would I thank them for? Making me pay for their plate, them not showing up and not getting a gift ...

ABSOULTELY NOT! My cousin and his wife RSVPed yes and never showed up and never called. I rearranged my entire seating chart to accomadate his wife since she doesnt speak to my aunt (my cousins mother). I am sure I still wouldnt have heard from them if I didnt see them at my other cousins funeral 6 weeks later.
