Has anyone visited Newport? My FH is taking me there over Memorial Day weekend and I was just wondering if anyone had any information for sight seeing, restaurants, etc. Thanks in advance!

I loved Newport. There are toms of historical mansion to tour, thats'the main 'touristy' draw, but its on the water & there are lots of cute little shops & little restaurants & bars.

I loved Newport too! I LOVED the mansions (but I love all that old historical stuff - I think I was born in the wrong era!) - although they're a touristy thing to do, if you like that sort of thing, they're worth it. The whole area is beautiful. As tourist said, there are lots of adorable shops, good restaurants, and bars to visit too.

Newport is great! The mansion tour is incredible and then you have to drive along Ocean Drive...it's so scenic! Lots of little shops and nice restaurants too! Have fun!
