Newport RI

I know I must have asked before but I kept changing my mind on where I wanted to go for my honeymoon. Does anyone have any recommendations for Newport, RI for August? Place to stay, dine, things to do, etc.? Thank you!!!

We went to Newport for Valentines Day. We stayed at the Chanler and ate at the Spiced Pear (their restuarant). It was so fantastic!!!

We went there in June for FH's cousins wedding and it was beautiful! Lots of great seafood restaurants. We took a sailboat ride too which was my fav part. We stayed in a hotel(I think it was the holiday inn) which is in the town right next to newport bc it was a lot cheaper. The hotels are expensive if you stay in the town. We also drove along the cliff and the beach to look at all the mansions, and we took a couple mansion tours. We also started to do the walking tour on one of their cliffs, its very popular, but then it started raining so we stopped halfway through.

I LOVE Newport. We went there for our 10th anniversary. We actually stayed out in Warwick, RI at a MArriott and drove to Newport every day (30 min) Our hotel was half the price of ones on newport and we had a jacuzzi

I loved the Breakers tour..so amazing, and definitely do the Cliff Walk. It's on the '1000 places to see before your die' list..and try to take a sunset cruise or other boat tour. We did one in Essex, CT and LOVED it. We were supposed to do one in newport but it had rained all day and even though it was clear by sunset, the company ahd closed for the day, so we just sat on the dock watching the sun set.

We love Newport! It is one of our favorite places. The first vacation we took together was to Newport so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
We stay at a B&B so you can just walk down to the harbor area. There are so many great restaurants on the water. Definitely take the sailboat ride. The mansions are amazing! You can get a package that lets you tour some of them, it's a better deal then paying as you go.
There are so many things to do, FM me if you want more information. We've been there a bunch of times.

Eat at the Pier in Newport! My fiance's brother is the Chef! It's amazing.
