I heard there was an ad for Thatched Cottage in today's paper....but I don't get Newsday. Anyone see it? If so, can you please fill me in on the details of the special(s)??
TIA

Re: Newsday
They have been running that special for a while. My FMIL gave me the ad and they were the first RH that FH and I went to see. Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience. When we went for our appointment there wasn't a manager on site, so we did not receive any pricing information or menus. The best they were able to do was show us the place and give us available dates. They said someone would call us with more information, but they never did. I called back a few days later and left a voice mail to have someone call me and they never did. I scratched them off my list!

I'm sorry you had that experience. I'm sure it was very frustrating. When we went we immediately liked it. We sat down and went over the brochure, menus, add-ons, prices...everything. They have even followed up a few times with letters. We just weren't ready to take our planning any further at the time (we had to push our wedding back for financial reasons). A girl I know also got married there and said it was wonderful! So I'm pretty confident...thanks for your input though!

I'm glad to hear you had a better experience with them than we did. It is a beautiful place. Good luck with your planning!
