I got this website forwarded to me by a friend I have who is in teh Air National Guard. ITs called BOoks for soldiers, but if you look theu the message boards, you will see all kinds of requests...just something nice to do for the people serving our Country!!
WOW...I just read this and went to the sites...I felt like crying just hearing how some people ....sergents at that are asking for things like some trial mix...when we can all just jot to 7-11 for anything we want....This was a good post..thanks Holly..

What a great idea I have a ton of books I was going to donate to a library but now I can send to soldiers.
DH has a cousin in the Marines, he's stationed in Afghanistan right now I think. We are making a care package up for him and sending it this week.

what a great post....it really makes you appreciate all we have at our fingertips....and whether or not you support the war, i think it also puts into perspective what these mena nd woman are giving up too....thanks for the post and making us aware!
