hahaha - i have to say i thought that the dress was MUCH nicer in person - which usually I always like the photos better - but not this time, I saw the dress on the hanger and was like then i looked at the price and was like
i feel a little guilty though - it was a lot more than i ever expected or wanted to pay - FH came with me and he was like if you love it, just get it and i kept saying are you sure? and he said do you love it and i said yes, and he said good, he loved it too - but then i got home and felt a little guilty - i feel like a brat sometimes when it comes to this wedding b/c i know that my FH will do 'almost' anything that i want for this wedding just because he wants me to be happy and i feel bad because i dont ever want him to feel like i am taking advantage of him for it - i actually am going to move the money for the deposit back into his account and at least pay for that part of it - i even told him that i dont a diamond wedding band anymore, i rather just get plain platinum to match my e-ring and then later on down the road i can upgrade the band - then he said im nuts and rolled his eyes at me
but i am so excited - i cant wait to wear it - i think i might wear it before cake so i have pics in it - i love it that much - plus i want to get my moneys worth
im a little nervous b/c they said the dress will be in, in time for the wedding - but it might cut it close, like within 2-3 weeks of the wedding - so that is a little stressful....
Dont feel guilty! It's okay to splurge a bit for your special day...this is literally a once in a lifetime experience, it's okay to have a little fun with it!

I love the dress and soo happy you got it. I totally understand how you feel about FH buying it...I was like that when we went wedding ring shopping and he got me my colitaires and tennis brcelet...I felt like it was too much. I kept saying it and the woman was looking at me like I had 3 heads . Don't feel guilty...your FH does it because he loves you and this wedding is a day for you and him and he takes pride in you and the woman you are.

I was going to say Priscilla of Boston too the other day, but I didn't see anything on the site I thought you'd like. They do have some really nice special occasion dresses though. It sounds like you found exactly what you wanted!! See, it was meant to be...don't feel guilty. You and your FH sound so cute...so sweet the way you are with each other. Nice of you to make the extra effort to make him feel appreciated. I can't wait to see pictures of it on you...it looked so pretty, I'm sure it's going to look gorgeous on you!
aww thanks! its just weird because i never had much growing up, i dont want to say my family was poor but i didnt get things that i wanted, i mean i wouldnt even ask for anything that i wanted because i knew my parents couldnt afford it (like clothes, toys and stuff)...i never had bday parties or a sweet 16 or anything like that, no designer clothes, i grew up on payless shoes you know stuff like that i got a job as soon as i could and then i always paid for my own things and i still couldnt afford much so for me, this whole wedding is totally out of the ordinary - its like a mindtrip to me - but then sometimes i feel bad about it, like guilty, like i dont deserve it - i dont know, its hard to explain - its just to me this whole wedding feels so luxurious because its like nothing ive ever had happen to me before KWIM? but anyways thanks! i cant wait to wear it and dance my butt off in it
Are you sure you're not my long lost Sister?? (Always wanted a Sister)!!!! Nik, I grew up the same way!!!!! It wasn't a normal thing to have soda, ice cream, etc., because we could not afford them. I think sometimes, the family tradition of not having things, leads us in later life, to follow the same pattern, until we figure out we CAN afford things, and it's no longer like when we were growing up. You deserve these things, and if your FH, gets joy out of seeing you have them, then it's definitely ok to have them!!!!!!! Mary MOB

now i got to start working on my calf muscles - FH teases me - he says i am a skinny girl with cankles i really dont have a calf muscle at all - even when i flex it there is nothing! i need good exercises since the bottom of my legs will be showing! i got to tone them up so they look sexy!
